About Us


Laura Jacob is the President of Pro Way Development based in Toronto, Ontario. Pro Way Development helps organizations with strategic human resources practices and employee training and development.

Laura developed deep insight into organizations and how to ensure employees and leaders engage for business growth through progressive careers with GE Plastics, GE Capital, Perot Systems and other Fortune 1000 organizations in the U.S. and Canada. Her strengths include helping organizations assess their organization’s needs and providing affordable, accurate and sound solutions to solve a wide variety of workplace challenges.

In addition to helping businesses with their talent management and human resources needs, she serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Bridgeport teaching undergraduate business classes. Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto, a master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and a number of professional certifications including:

  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
  • Certified Coach (Linkage)
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt
  • DDI and Achieve Global Certified Trainer

Laura is a member the national and local chapters of Society for Human Resource Management and was recently named as one of Fairfield County’s Top 40 executives under 40. She volunteers with SCORE whose mission is to grow successful small businesses across America. Last year Laura was one of few national recipients of the SCORE and Sam’s Club education award for small businesses. Laura also speaks to audiences on a number of topics from time management to communication and several other HR related issues.
